Finding our feet

The days are starting to blur into one now and are surprisingly short! I get close to nothing else done in between the normal chores, mealtimes and homeschooling and every day is so different depending on how everyone has slept and which side of the bed they woke up on! We've changed our approach to homeschooling almost daily but I think we're gradually finding our feet now and I've discovered about my kids that they...

1. Work best in the morning

2. Love an activity sheet

3. Need direction to get started with a task before excelling alone

4. Really value 10 minutes' one to one time every now and then

5. Are surprisingly resilient

I think the best thing I've done today is print off a huge amount of Twinkl resources and make in trays out of cereal boxes so they can take work when they need it and pop it into the done tray for marking. I'm certain this will make life much easier so looking forward to reaping the rewards tomorrow!
